Commissioned to re-design the large rambling garden of this early 20th Century Country Home whilst the house was undergoing major refurbishment provided Alchemille with the opportunity to bring the eclectic tastes of the client, into their outside space.
A raised terrace was built along the rear of the house to provide a large dining / lounging area which gave the a broad view of the garden and the beautiful beech woods and fields of the landscape beyond............................
Wide steps lead fromthe dining terrace to the main circular lawn which is accented by a centrally placed deep reflective pool and tiered stone fountain.
The brick-edged borders encircling the lawn are planted with mature flowering shrubs and hardy perennials chosen to provide year round interest with minimal maintenance. A wide grass path edged with an avenue of clipped topiary cupressus leads to a further lawn, seating area and summer house overlooking the formal part of the garden.
